Yay! Welcome to a newborn year 2014! I wrote down all my visions and intentions for this year. Found juicy words to wrap them all up… Now what?? … When will I see the results?
Sometimes I just can’t wait to see the miracles unfolding! It is easy to come up with fun ideas and goals, get excited and bring the passion in: ya, let’s do it! However, to wait for things to grow and be brought to you is like asking a child to be patient and wait for Santa to come and bring presents on a certain day. I remember that my sister and I used to search through our flat, to comb all possible and impossible places for New Year presents. We all did this, didn’t we?
I like the quote from Rumi that always brings me back:
Patience is not sitting and waiting, it is foreseeing. It is looking at the thorn and seeing the rose, looking at the night and seeing the day. Lovers are patient and know that the moon needs time to become full.
Aha…Let’s learn to fore-see, to notice what is going on around and any signs that indicate the right way or signal to correct the course. It is fun. Otherwise we might resemble the donkey from the Shrek movie.
